Milk is one of the most popular and nutritionally beneficial foods in the world, supplying vital nutrients such as proteins, lipids, vitamins, and minerals. But milk adulteration has become a major worldwide concern, particularly in poorer nations where quality control is frequently inadequate. Intentional introduction of chemicals such as water, starch, urea, detergents, formaldehyde, and chemical preservatives to increase volume or extend shelf life is considered adulteration. Sometimes, hormones like oxytocin are illegally administered to dairy animals to boost milk output, which results in hormone residues in the milk. In addition to lowering milk’s nutritional content, these behaviors also have major health consequences for the population at large, especially youngsters, expectant moms, and older people.
